An Executive retreat is a forum where all the Executives of the company get together in a semi formal atmosphere and discuss strategies and action plans for the betterment of the business. Decisions are taken on a priority basis within a short time. However, everything is not about work. It involves have a fun time also. Hence, while planning for an executive retreat, it is necessary plan your agenda accordingly.

 

  1. Firstly, see to it that the dates are convenient for all the executives in the company.
  2. Choose a location that is close to the work place as this will ensure larger participation.
  3. Make sure that the retreat provides top quality rooms for your executives to stay and also ensure that the retreat has complete stock of the various stationery and meeting items that you may require for the meeting.
  4. Further, ensure that all literature, company materials, brochures and other such material are distributed amongst the executives so that they prepare and come to the retreat.
  5. Create an agenda which divides the executives into different sections so as to handle various items on the agenda for discussion. Assign a facilitator for developing individual agendas for each section.
  6. Develop a check list which displays items that need to be decided by the executives at the retreat itself.
  7. Ensure that every executive has a separate packet containing the agenda, check lists, folders, etc at the retreat.
